Let me start by saying, I love Clay’s brutal honesty! He upfront and doesn’t filter between his heart, thoughts, and feelings. Julia has a deep, confusing, dark secret. Dark enough that I can’t wrap my head around it. This secret drives me insane as she’s given many opportunities to open up to him about it, but fails to open herself up completely. Their passion is out of this world for one another and you can feel their connection to one another. But it only goes so far when you’re aware of the barrier standing between them. We’re quickly brought up to pace in their lives and light is she’d upon bits and pieces of their pasts over time. The story flows but I felt a further connection was missing due to Julia’s holding back. This is a fast paced enticing read that has left me wanting more, which I can’t wait to get in After This Night coming May 12th. Give this a try and build your Clay Crush! Rating: 3.5
